︎︎︎ On top of things

In a realm of lines and no dots, I exist along a thread. Following pathways by touching, holding, grabbing. Being shaped along the way. Monstrous thing, this threaded body.

Threaded bodies is a coming research project where I ask how to enter into a fictional body. It starts with a felt concept; a body that I’ve met in the studio and later fantasied about, fictionalised around in my notebook, and met up with again in the studio. There, I ask this fictional body to lead me along paths, to get entangled in webs of storie, memories, and futures.

I will initiate three lines of work: One solo, one text and one object. During the creation of these three, I invite other artists in to interrupt my lines – work divided neatly into three strands of continuity, thought and logic. The invited artists will be introduced to one or several of the lines, and be asked to interpret it. This interpretation will be the base for my continued work.

The three mediums (object, text and dance) that activate the concept will be disturbed and split by these meetings, and they will also meet, interact, and branch out from and towards each other.
